This food showed up loose in a box. Not in a bag to keep it fresh like it normally comes. I didn't open the box for a few weeks because I figured it was in a bag, so now I'm not sure of the freshness of the food. It's pretty expensive to be stored like that. The listing says PELLETS. The picture of the bag says the word PELLETS. The picture shows actual PELLETS. One would assume that this is then actually pellets. NOPE! This is the third time this has happened to me. I order pellets and instead get a mixed whole grain feed that the chickens pick through and make a total mess of. They love some of the grains and quickly devour those, but then refuse to eat some of the other grains. About half of the bag will end up wasted! If this was the first time, I would think I made the mistake in my order. I did receive the correct item one time and the chickens loved it, so I thought I'd try again. This is now the third time this incorrect product has been sent. I am so frustrated!!!!! Not sure if this is an Amazon error or a Small Pet Select error. Hoping someone can make things right, please.the shipping method let the bag bounce around and the bag had a hole in it and leaked into the shipping box; that being said I will gladly order this product again because of the ingredients meets my expectations.Improve on packaging for 5 star.had more than corn and chickens did not seem to like itI love supporting a family business in the Pacific Northwest - which is where I am from. Our hen’s eggs are nice and nutritious with this feed, orange yolks! Thank you for the effort you put into the protein levels for each age. Our hens have grown with your feed and now are happy as they are laying and feeding our family.Chickens love it! While it’s not labeled organic, the feed seems to be very high-quality and the birds adore it. The eggs tasted great and I will buy this again. I also use scratch and peck pellets but the size of these pellets are better. The scratch and peck pellets are very big.My chicks just went outside this week and this feed was perfect for their next step up from chicken starter. They love it and it’s easy to fit into the feed tube. I’d definitely buy this again!
