We love these bones for our super chewer Labrador. They last a long time, and they really appeal to her. Great product!I have two aggressive chewers and my daughter has two regular chewers lol. All of our dogs and other dogs that have been around them love these bones! I highly recommend them because they are so durable, last forever and they love all of the flavors I've bought. I will never buy another brand again.I have a nice variety of dogs at home. I have the aggressive chewer, gentle babies, and a biting machine puppy. This is a good chew toy for all of them. I spread peanut butter, Greek yogurt, applesauce, wet pate dog food, and veggie purées on these and then freeze them. They make a good licking treat (since licking promotes calming behaviors) and afterwards the mesquite bbq smell keeps them engaged for some chomp action. Which they don’t actually get far since it’s a harder chew bone toy. These make good crate activities for them without me worrying about choking on broken pieces.I wasn't sure whether my dogs would like this bone but thanks to the other reviews I figured we ought to give it a shot! There are several dogs in my house, one of which is a 1yo 12lb mutt who has a constant need to chew. He was bringing in large sticks and chunks of mulch from the yard and chewing them up all over the carpet. Cleaning up the splinters and mess was an unwelcome chore so I tossed this in my cart and hoped for the best. Lucky for all of us, it has solved our problems!! It has been weeks since my dog has chewed up any sticks or mulch. Instead he happily chews on this FlavorIt BarkBone. The scent smells more like maple syrup to me than mesquite chicken, but it's not unpleasant. The 3 other dogs in the house are huge fans of this bone as well. It seems to be holding up well to the constant chewing, which makes this a GREAT buy and a toy I will eagerly recommend to anyone with a dog.I think I got this saturday. 2 days of chewing. And not for long periods of time. It's like that on both ends. I will say hes a 7 month old 54lb american bully. So you mite want to find one for strength tests. But can a grind the burrs off and make it smooth again or will it become toxic? This review is for my bully dog only. I have a smaller dog that I got one for and it did the trick. So i guess it depends on the size and strength of the dog and its jaws. I cant really fault anyone because my boy can chew some stuff up.We already love the regular Flavorit bone from Pet Qwerks (we have a large in the mint flavor- yay fresh puppy breath!) so I was excited to try the new Barkbone!Our Great Pyrenees puppies love it! It's a lot easier to pick up because it's curved instead of flat and so far they've gone bananas over the mesquite chicken flavor. We ordered the large, for size reference Sammy (in the pictures) is 11 months old and around 120lbs, and it's a good size for him to share with our younger 4.5 month old Pyrenees. It's got everything we love about the regular Flavorit bones: holes to fill with peanut butter or spreadable cheese, dishwasher safe, and it entertains for quite some time. It's perfect for rainy days because two Great Pyrenees in the house can be a handful so definitely five stars from the puppies and the humans! Highly recommend if you've got a bored dog or just looking to spoil them a bit with an easy to clean (and reusable!) treat.My corgi absolutely loves this chew toy.When I first opened the package I realized a very strong odor. When I came home that afternoon my whole apartment smelled like this bone. I buried it in the bottom of my dogs toy but hoping for it to dissipate and luckily it did. It’s been a few weeks and now the bone smells as much as any other bone they chew. I’m not sure if they spray the bones With the scent before packaging but it was bad! My dogs like this bone (but don’t love it as much as some other brands) I thought the ability to put some peanut buttter in the holes would be a draw but they can’t get it all out so it’s not as enticing as I thought it would be.J'avais acheté deux (2) jouets à mâcher Barkbone pour chacune de mes chiennes. Elles mâchaient tellement fort chacune leur jouet que ça créé des pics hyper pointus et très durs.Lorsque ma chienne de 8 ans s'est mise à tousser en grugeant son jouet, je lui ai enlevé et j'ai jeté les deux jouets.Je considère que c'est de l'argent très mal dépensé.The smell of this bone is very intense. Everything it touches smells like it. I have to wash her blanket and her because her face smells like the bone. I've put it in a zip lock bag in the freezer to stop my condo from smelling. She didn't take to it right away so I might leave it for outside chewing but won't be taking it out for regular play.First time trying one of these bones that was not nylabones brand— my dogs seemed to love it! The scent was even apparent to me, but only from close so it is not a bad thing. My dogs did have a squabble over it so next time I’ll order two!Dog (Boston Terrier) seems to like chewing on this bone. Little pieces do come off where it's been chewed but not in chunks. I'm not sure if it's edible but the dog spits the pieces out.Our Boston loves this. He chews it for hours. Haven't had to add anything to it. A bonus is he smells like maple/pancakes now. Would recommend.
