Good chicken run for the cost. It went together easily. It doesn't offer much protection for the chickens but it does contain them.If you have dogs the door is not sturdy enough to keep them out. Keeps chickens in just fine. I am using large rocks in front and behind of door of cage so that when the dog jumps on door it doesn’t just open. Dogs can get in easy.A random chicken somehow wandered into my backyard to which I am now the caretaker for. I am not DIY savvy, so I can't create a cheaper chicken coop myself, so this was my only option.I purchased this during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals and had it for a month so far. It has been working great to protect the chicken from the weather and predators. Installation was simple and you can easily do this yourself, but having another person to help would make the process even easier. The majority time of the assembly process comes from zip tying everything together. My gripe was that several of the parts were not labeled at all, so it was difficult to tell the pipes apart and many of the screws it came with were rusted. The manual didn't help much when it came to building the door. The door end up not being exactly as intended, but its still functional, just a tad wonky and not super secure.Once assembled, it was easy to move around since its fairly light. I recommend tethering the coop down in case of high winds. The inside of the coop has plenty of space for the chicken to wander around and for 2 people to walk inside. I added another tarp on the roof and the back of the chicken coop along with some thin planks of wood on the side to protect the chicken from heavy winds and rain. Personally, I think the chicken wire should be replaced with something else more sturdy as the one it comes with has large holes where the chicken can stick their head out and might injure themselves.Overall, I think its a great coop for a beginner like me raising a single chicken. Some additional tarp and chicken wire would make it perfect. It probably can house up to 3 chickens comfortably without it being too cramped. The tarp intended for the roof is too short to fully cover the pen.The zipties meant for holding up the walls are tiny and easily broken. The plastic netting meant for the walls are flimsy, my mother's chihuahua could easily tear through it if she wanted too.The instructions were barely there. I had to guess at a few steps. The frame seems sturdy enough, though some of the fittings are quite loose. You should give me a 100$ refund to cover the costs of buying replacement cage wire and tarps.Edit: Months and at least 200$ extra in cage wire later, I have a secure run for my three chickens. The door latch was poorly thought-out, I had to rig up my own locks to keep it secure. I have the tarp stretched across the top with more fencing underneath so that nothing can break through the roof.I should have just sprung for a 700$ pen, because you really do get what you pay for when you buy cheap...My son put up by himself and one of the main problems was the door. Also added lots more zip ties, luckily we already had some. Came with more than enough wire and he laid it on the ground around the run to help keep predators out. Also came with spikes but he also added some more heavy duty ones we had on hand as we sometimes get some heavy winds. Overall it's a good value for the money. I would recommend.Easy to assemble. Time consuming zip tying the chicken wire. We added our own hardware cloth around bottom to waistline for added security. Also added an additional full length wite tarp with bunny balls since the bird flue is going around so total top covered. Our rosters love their new run for spring summer fall. The frunt door and it's frame leaves room for mink could get in. Just make adjustments with your own materials. So far so ?It was great, easy to put together until the wire mesh. Somewhat difficult to put on, and mine looked like something like a fork lift punctured a hole though the roll, so every 2 ft or so there was a large hole. Too much hassle to disassemble to get a replacement. Ended up getting more zip ties and tying holes closed. Overall it was worth it, but wish I could have just gotten replacement mesh. It looks second-hand now... I advise checking mesh prior to assembly for ease of replacement or return. Used for 3 ducks.I bought this to use as a temporary and easy-to-move run for my 3 hens; they're living on a relative's property while I get my house ready to sell. It was packaged securely, making it easy to move to where I needed it, and the materials were organized well. The poles are labeled, so assembly went smoothly with no confusion. The wire is your standard chicken wire, which isn't great depending on the predators in your area. But if your main concern is keeping chickens contained, then you'll be fine with the standard wire and zip ties. I do like that the wire is green, it's a refreshing color!I left the wire off of the backside of the frame, and have the run backed up to a shed/coop with sliding doors. Since the run came with stakes I can keep it firmly secured in the ground and against the shed.I live in the southeast of the states, so this run has already faced the hot sun, heavy rain, and ice. No problems so far. Even the tarp cover and elastics used to attach it have held up well. Overall, I think this was a good purchase, and in the future I'll use this to move around my property so my hens can safely free range in new areas.
