I gave it 5 stars as no reason to knock the product when it's supposed to be stupid hot. I was the stupid one for buying it. For those that love extreme heat then this will suite your needs great.We normally get the Nongshim Shin RED and sometimes the veggie green and that turns out is the perfect amount of spice for me if you don't add more than 2.5cups of water. I had a itch to try something new as I like a little bit of heat. Well boiled the ramen briefly, poured out most of the water. Put the packet in and heated it on high for a minute to get it a little sticky. My wife(not a spice person) tried a small bit and she was in pain. I ate about half the portion and it was just not worth eating. I might try it again with either more water or less sauce added. It truly does feel 2x to spicy for me. The RED and GREEN Shin ramen is the best value and taste for me. Black Shin is good but too spendy or at least for what I want to spend on it.I’ve always considered myself having a high spice tolerance, meaning I regularly eat scorpion peppers in my food.This burned my tongue every time I ate it though, but it was a quick burn that dissipated relatively quickly. There were times where I felt that there wasn’t really any flavor just heat.I would recommend adding veggies and some kind of protein to make it a better tasting, more substantial meal.If your idea of spicy is a jalapeno or the DIABLO sauce from Taco Bell, you are NOT ready for this ramen. I'm not being diminutive, I'm speaking in a sense of saving you from feeling like your mouth is melting. Each package has 5 packs of the Ramen and each pack of ramen comes with a sauce packet and seasoning packet.I personally find the flavor of the sauce, amazing. It has heavy chile taste, assuming you can actually taste it, and the seasoning packet brings a welcome blend of sesame and dried seaweed. The noodles are a slight bit thicker than your typical maruchan or top ramen and frying them up as instructed allows them to take to the sauce fantastically.These noodles are not for the faint of heart and I ONLY recommend them for fans of extreme spice. For reference, standard Tabasco sauce has 3,750 Scoville Heat Units(SHU). I regularly eat food around 250,000SHU and found these to have a decent amount of spice (They made my nose run, but did not make me sweat or cry.) So if you're a heat freak such as myself, buy yourself a pack of these, they're great.I was expecting this to be a lot hotter but it's about the same or a bit below heat level of BW3 Mango Habanero wing sauce. Seasoning is quite tasty, a bit on the sweet side, but to get the most out of the flavor, should drain excess water.Bought these to do a challenge and wasn't disappointed! They are super hot but also taste really good. Good amount for the price too.The flavor of these noodles were GREAT!!! Kind of sweet, VERY spicy. Definitely gets the job done!I could eat these every day lol if you’re not a fan of spicy then you wouldn’t enjoy but they are so good.These are good! Spicy asf how i like them ? if you like spicy these are for you. I tried the regular 1x spicy but those were too sweet for my liking. These 2x are a little sweet not too overpowering like the regular onesAfter I took the first bite, I knew I was done for. This was it, this was the life I'd lived. The heat grew stronger and stronger the more I chewed. I encouraged myself to pull through and reach the end of this torture to my taste buds. In the *heat* of the moment, I ran for a glass of milk, forgetting that I'm lactose intolerant. Let's just say, what came out the other side was not pretty. 10/10 would ruin my palate again.Although popular as the fire noodle challenge on YouTube ?, for personal use I find these noodles really nice.They are thicker and have more bite than other noodles of this type as long as you don't over cook them, leave a few table spoons full of water in the pan before you add the sachets, it helps the flavours mix better , the sachets are a sauce and a chilli seeds and flakes.The seeds are very small and you don't really notice them when eating, but you will definitely notice the added heat they give.They are very spicy , if you're not used to eating spicy food then they maybe too hot, if you are used to hot spicy Curry's and meals with plenty of chillies in then you may actually really enjoy these noodles as a tasty spicy snack as i do.After eating the whole bowl my mouth is burning and the burn will last a good 5 mins before it starts to settle down.If you want to get rid of the burning sensation then a large glass of milk or a yogurt will settle it down quicker.I love these noodles you get quite a lot in each block at 140g with 5 in the pack altogether, I'll definitely be buying more and highly recommend if you like the odd spicy snack ???I bought these for my partner at her request as we thought they would be like other spicy noodles. How wrong we was!!! These will blow your head to bits and make your poo shoot feel like a pit of lava resides inside, absolutely spot on description of extra spicy. My other half tried these and took two mouthfuls before dripping with sweat as if she was taking a 2 mile sprint away from a serial killer. During her third mouthful she was almost brought to tears at the thought of eating anymore, I thought to myself she was being soft. WRONG. I took the biggest mouthful and then swallowed it proceeding to tell her how soft she was. Turns out it takes a few seconds for you to realise what has happened. Absolutely brilliant taste and the spice rating for us was around 27/10. Absolutely brilliant if your into food that leaves you sore. Would also be a brilliant prank on one of your friends ?? will be buying againBought these noodles to try out as they have a high level of heat rating.. both me and my partner was alittle ooohhh ? what if it is major hot...? but they really are not that bad.. they are easily tolerable to a spice foodie and you begin to enjoy the heat.. even my 9 year old daughter had a few mouthfuls and wasn't bothered at all she asked for more.. I suppose everyones heat tolerance is on a different level.. I know a few people that would be in a state with these noodles. On the whole they are good value for money.. I would request that the chicken flavour was made more intense.These noodles are a cheaper alternative to a colonic irrigation procedure. They taste great, then after a few moments the heat starts to build up in your mouth, it makes it’s way down your entire digestive tract until eventually at 04:30 in the morning you will wake up in excruciating pain and will spend the next 2 hours sweating and crying on the toilet. I would liken eating these to self harm.
