I am an avid hiker/camper and love taking my toddler son outdoors. He is a bit afraid of the dark still, and so we always have to bring a night light with us. I have been purchasing a few solar-powered lights over the past few months, and they have been excellent. This time, I wanted something that did not look like a lantern or flashlight, and I decided to give this one a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the solar panel's performance.PROS- Solar panel to charge up to 3 light bulbs at the same time via 3 microUSB connections- Light bulbs throw a decently bright, white light- Light bulbs can be recharged via microUSB when sunlight isn't available or faster charging is desired- Solar panel can be used to charge other, smaller, microUSB-based items (not so much your power-hungry phone, unfortunately)- Light bulbs last for a few hours (2-3 hours during our camping trip last weekend)CONS- Takes as much as 10 hours to charge all 3 light bulbs in direct sunlight- Light bulbs are not waterproof and should not be used outdoor when there is a possibility for rain. However, the solar panel CAN be left outside in the rain (as long as the water doesn't travel down the cables and into your charging device). I suggest you don't keep the panel out during the rain since there's not much sunlight available to charge with anywayOverall, this is a decent set of solar-powered light bulbs, and the solar panel itself is surprisingly powerful for its size. As such, the panel can also be used to charge other, smaller items. If you found this review helpful, please click the "Yes/Helpful" button below to encourage me to write more. Thank you!Used in a small off grid recreational cabin that does have an expensive set of 600+ watt panels, batteries, controller, wiring/fixtures, etc. My intension was to have a set of 'back up' lights if the big system failed. These are easy to use, way easy to hang from wherever you need some real light. The 'cast' is downward and outward, far better than a candle or kero lamp, way better usable light and waayyy safer! We ran one as a test over the kitchen table then switched it off and lit the big table kero lamp we used to depend on for basic lighting. That lamp is more like mood lighting now.I like 'em!No wiring fixtures and switches, no big, heavy and awkward panels, etc. If you have a notion to play with some solar this is a good way to start.I was amazed at the uses these lights have. We went on a three week road trip out west from North Carolina and having the lights was really a blessing. After charging them we separated each light from the cable and hung them up in the tent. Realizing we did not need but one light for the tent we used the other ones to light out way to the showers and for late reading at night. Just lay the light on your chest with the book in front and read on. So simple and useful. My kids like to have a light on at night so would take on bulb and place under a shirt and the glow was perfect for their needs. I plan to buy another set to keep in the house--great product and great priceOn a full charge, I was able to get 2 hours of usage if I'm lucky, and the picture showed a remote. Mine didn't come with one. I can’t see how they can say 4-5 hours with such a small capacity battery.I’m working on a project where I don’t have a power source and thought these would work! They great when they do!I love this solar powered light bulb charger its absolutely fantastic I am quite impressed with it. I have the panel sit out in the sun for half the day soaking in the sunshine and use the led bulbs at night and I am floored by how long they last almost all night (I am a night owl) I have another similar led solar powered light bulb a bit brighter but doesn't last long at all but these are something else. I love that you can charge it using a micro USB cable, I am all for alternative/renewable energy so I whip out my hand crank generator and sometimes charge them myself for about ten minutes and get a little extra time out of the bulbs. Also left it outside while it rained on accident and had absolutely no issues (I did cover the cables and bulbs before hand though) but still got a bit of moisture on the cables and bulbs but still worked just fine. I highly recommend this product, you will not be disappointedThis little panel will charge the little batteries in these bulbs, no problem. These bulbs only produce as much light as a 10 W bulb. It may serve you well enough, but I am returning mine.Bought for use in a chicken coop. Does require 8-10 hours of full, direct sunlight to hit full lumens and have the most life. Ambient light or cloudy days will still charge them but the output and burn time is greatly impacted (which is expected) micro USB plug in is great, can be taken indoors and charged on an outlet if you have a basic usb ‘cube’ and usb > micro usb cable (not included here)The cable length is extremely generous which is very helpful. Hooks are sturdy enough, they won’t bend easily but I also wouldn’t add any extra weight to them. Would consider buying more when another application is needed. One final though: I don’t know how long the batteries last if charged and not used for an extended period.Disappointed that the kickstand was broken.Solar panel is flimsy
