Healthy Breeds Maltese Healthy Treats, Fit & Trim Bites Chicken Dog Treats are made in the USA.Since one selects a breed when purchasing the treats, the assumption is that the treat will be geared to the needs of that particular breed. I was delighted by the concept, both for the ingredient difference as well as for the size of the treats.I have a 3.5 pound adult female Maltese and I have to break treats into smaller pieces for her. I was hoping for a right sized Maltese treat and, perhaps, ingredients best suited to the tiny breed’s needs. Unfortunately, the only thing breed specific about these dog treats are the breed names and pictures on the bag.The treats themselves are made with good ingredients and are low calorie at 3.5 calories per treat. They are bigger than I expected and somewhat square with .625” sides. These are soft treats and easy to break but I was hoping for a small size that I could give to her without breaking. The ingredient list is the same for all breeds that I checked. The guaranteed analysis is 11% crude protein, 5% crude fat, 5% crude fiber and 33% moisture.Overall these are good treats, but not designed for individual breeds. My dogs like these Fit and Trim bites. The Use By date on the bag that I received is 17 months in the future.Exactly as describedI ordered these for my shiorkie tzu and schnauzer. They seem to love the smell and the taste, as each time I open the bag they act like I never have given them treats before. The ingredients avoid the typical problem substances with dog edibles -- commercial glycerin and added vitamin-D. The list include molasses as the second ingredient by weight which has a high sugar content, but you should not be giving your dogs enough of these daily to negatively impact their health as these are treats. At almost 15USD for 10oz, these are not inexpensive... but if you have a picky dog you should give these a try as my dogs usually cannot agree on treats and they both love these. I am rating this four stars. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary...Healthy Breeds Healthy Treats Fit & Trim Bites Chicken Dog Treats 10 ozBreed: Golden RetrieverI have a GoldenDoodle so I ordered the Golden Retriever variety because I didn’t see GoldenDoodle listed. There are so many different breeds listed but no GoldenDoodle but many other doodle varieties. After reading the nutrition facts and ingredients, I don’t see any difference in the product from breed to breed, just the front packaging. I don’t know why the manufacturer would make multiple packaging for the same product but it appears that way.My dog really likes the treats. The treats are called Fit & Trim Bites. The treats are soft, chewy, and small little squares. The first ingredient is chicken and contains no soy or corn. The treats are made in the USA.Ingredients:Chicken, Molasses, Peas, Potatoes, Eggs, Vegetable Glycerin, Flaxseed, Brown Rice, Chicken Liver, Barley Flour, Tapioca Flour, Sweet Potato, Lactic Acid, Salt, Coconut Oil, Phosphoric Acid, Natural Smoke Flavor, Calcium Lactate, Zinc Propionate, Calcium Propionate, Mixed Tocopherols (A Preservative).⛵⚓Seas the Day⚓⛵Healthy Breeds Healthy Treats Fit & Trim Bites Chicken Dog Treats 10 oz Over 200 Breeds Available (Shih-Poo)Always looking for another treat for my 16 y/o Bichon Frise and this looked good. These are "fit and trim" bites and while she is not overweight is a finicky eater, so we are always looking for something she will try more than a day or two. So far, so good. It's a lovely morning treat for her--she seems to enjoy--and I like that it is a confident source of protein. My dog loves these treats - why wouldn't he? It's chicken, molasses and veggies? The treats are the perfect size for training, will not hold long when the package is open (easily spoilable). As always, I never understand why these needed to be made sweet. Whose dog ever refused plain chicken? Why put molasses into this? I'd like to know.Healthy Breeds Healthy Treats Fit & Trim BitesWell, these don't come in "dachshund" so we got the next best thing - Chihuahua. Actually, though, my dog is really a Teckel - which has a bit longer legs than a normal dachshund. They do look more like a chihuahua that has been working out. I went with the Chihuahua treats and normally my dog will eat almost everything. It took her about 5 minutes of sniffing before she actually ate the treat. They are misshapen square chunky bits that are soft to the touch and have a strong smokey meat scent. These are crumbly in texture and soft enough for seniors. I don't know what makes these treat breed-specific since the ingredients are pretty similar to other breeds in this line.IngredientsChicken, Molasses, Peas, Potatoes, Eggs, Vegetable Glycerin, Flaxseed, Brown Rice, Chicken Liver, Barley Flour, Tapioca Flour, Sweet Potato, Lactic Acid, Salt, Coconut Oil, Phosphoric Acid, Natural Smoke Flavor, Calcium Lactate, Zinc Propionate, Calcium Propionate, Mixed Tocopherols (A Preservative).I ordered the Golden Retriever version of these treats even though I have a White Shepherd mix and a Blue Heeler - the treats are all the same, it's just the sticker on the front that's different. I guess if you have a rare breed and like seeing your breed represented on the bag you might like that option. Or maybe as a gift for someone who just got a new dog to give them a bag of treats with a picture on the front that looks like their new family member. For me, I don't care if there's a dingo or a direwolf on the front as long as the treats are good and healthy! The treats themselves are about half-inch little cubes - somewhat soft / moist and they have a strong smoky meaty smell that my dogs go nuts for. They're made in the USA and the ingredients all look great as long as you're feeding them as just an occasional treat! They're great for training, and I love that the pouch is resealable!
