Have been feeding my dogs Nutrisource for years. Very pleased with product. The price is great in 30 pound bag.Twelve year old schnauzer-poodle mix ("Schnoodle"), loves the taste and has remained very healthy on this food as his "main staple".He has developed arthritis in his joints over the years and had a "clicking joint" in a front leg when he walked. For awhile we had to treat him with baby aspirin to make him less cranky due to the pain. With the Nutrisource Senior food's glucosamine/chondroitin mineral enrichment, he has stopped "clicking" and rarely needs an aspirin any more.He chases rabbits in the yard like a young dog again and lopes incredibly fast after them. I am very pleased with this dog food, and this review is being filed after placing a 2nd order for the 18 lb. bag with PetFoodStation. The overall cost from them, including shipping, is less than the cost from US Bones (the first vendor who shows up during a search). This is really shocking, as US Bones is in Chicago and only about 10 miles from where the dog resides, while PetFoodStation is in Maryland !!!PetFoodStation ships quickly and the food is fresh, not old stock near the expiration date on the bag.One has to be careful with dry pet food's shelf life. The essential oils in the food can go rancid, especially after the bag is opened.One should only buy what the dog can consume in about 3 months. For an 11.5 lb. schnoodle, that's the 18 lb. bag. (He has a quick metabolism and has weighed that weight since he matured at about a year old, +/- an ounce or two. Plus, we feed him as much as he wants, usually 2x per day.)No, I don't work for Tuffy's/Nutrisource, nor PetFoodStation...nor have any financial interest in either business. I am just a satisfied customer in a time when customer service from many fronts is decidedly poor. Amazon/PetFoodStation/and Tuffy's-Nutrisource are WONDERFUL. Buy with confidence.This was one of the brands recommended for our old Jack Russell Terrier by our vet. Our dog loves it, but to be fair, there isn't much he won't eat. Sometimes if food is too hard, he doesn't like it, but he has never had a problem with this brand because the nuggets are a nice size for his size breed.I do wish the packaging was resealable and/or easier to open. I wrestle with this every time, but I suspect this is the same with every brand so not a deal breaker.Bought two identical bags, Senior dog chicken/rice kibble. First bag was fine. Second bag immediately made both of my dogs vomit, repeatedly. Fed them a different food for a week then tried the food again. More vomit. Seems like a quality control issue.I have a golden-doodle who is not too picky, but has some food sensitivities. He really loves this food, especially when we just open the bag. We need to feed small amounts at first so he doesn’t eat too much and then throw up. He is almost 9 so we switched to senior food. He also liked the non senior version. When we pet sit the 9 lb neighbors dog, she only eats this food and not her own.I went into my local Feed store to buy California Natural Adult Weight Control formula for my senior dog. Apparently the company had gone out of business. They highly recommended the Tuffy's Pet Food Nutrisource Dog Food. We purchased two flavors: Salmon, and Chicken and Rice flavors. Our dog did not care for the salmon flavor (the cat did), but he ate the Chicken and Rice Formula like it was candy. We used to let him free feed, as he never over-ate. Now we have to portion out his meals twice a day because he loves this product. We ended up ordering it here on Amazon, as we could get a much bigger bag at a more reasonable price. Highly recommend.This food is very good. My dog loves it .Now she is older it seems to give her energy.My dogs have always done well on Nutrisource.
