It does what it's supposed to but I wish I would have bought higher wattage. Growing garden plants in basement where the temperature is in low 60s . I partially enclosed area with plastic and reflective material with small computer fan for airflow.... Area is about 4ftx2x3ft and this barely raises ambient temperature with fan blowing. Better than with nothing however heat is barely felt more than foot away. For price you can't go wrong thoughI was looking for a low cost solution to keep me warm while I am on my computer. So a heat lamp that only use 100W sounded like a great solution to me. The ceramic heater worked fine. I keep it at about 9 inches away from my feet. The only con is that I sometimes forget to turn off the heat because it does not emit light. Fortunately, using 100W all night is not at expensive at all.I purchased to use in my chicken coop! I love the fact it doesn’t light up the coop, and keeps their sleeping area nice and cozy during the winter months! This bulb is so much better than the red heating lamps that keep the room lit up red during the night! I would recommend this and plan on purchasing another one to keep on hand!With two lamps I can keep two feeders functioning without freezing.I purchased it works good but not enough warmth for what i neededKeeps cage warm.. It gets very very hot!!! Do not touch for awhile after u turn it off.. I got nervous and replaced it with a diff bulbI had it for like a month and uts dead already. Never buying from here againSame issue my previous orders had. The end of the socket gets to hot and it melts away the cheap end til it can't make a connection. This time the silver tip ontop of the cheap plastic insulator slide down the side and almost completely off. It lasted less than 2 months.
