Thank you for making a product that makes me feel confident in making my girl her food! I have been feeding Dr. Harvey's food for several years now and decided to try this chicken and & garden veggies complete dehydrated food for the convenience and boy it did not disappoint. My dog has never been so excited to eat, she truly loves it!!The formula for Dr. Harvey s Chicken dog food has been changed and the price has gone up...a lot! The new formula appears to have much less chicken and a whole lot more greenery. It actually smells like most grass. I am so disappointed and my 16 year old Westie rescue is out of luck. It took me months to recover his gut and heal his pancreas. Now I have to find a new food and try to transition him to a dog food that's more food and less greenery. Shame on Dr. Harvey s .My dog would not eat it. He is a very picky eater and I am trying to figure out the right food. So far, he will only eat fresh refrigerated dog food. We do not feed him people food.I think the food is great and I am using this sample pack as a topper for my little guy’s top quality kibble. What I didn’t like -It comes in a thick ziplock sealed attractive package (should be done at this point) but then they put that package in a double correlated cardboard box with a nice little card (see photo). The food package could easily be mailed out in just a bubble bag. The box which has a replica sticker of the bag on its top, is totally unnecessary and not at all environmentally friendly. Like I said, the food is good -but it should be- at some of the highest priced per pound dog food on the market. However I cannot see a need for the corrugated box and in my opinion, it may be just to look more impressive and make you feel better about spending this much. It seems totally overkill. My first thought was dehydrated food (chicken and veggies) for a hiking camping trip with the dog. I read the instructions which is like a manual, and decided to make the smallest amount to see if he even likes the food. so did 1/4cup into 1/4 cup warm water. let it sit for a minute and served it up. He took three drinks and went and got water. You can feed it to dog dry. Make sure dog is very hungry before introducing to it and mix min amount. First dog may not like it, two could upset stomach as its a new food. So procede with caution and be prepared for a rejection : {My dog didn’t eat at all when I made it for him. I tried it to mix a little amount with the dry dog food he usually eat. He still didn’t like it, so I also tried to mix it with cooked plain egg and dry dog food and somehow he ate it. I still feeding it this way because nutritious value, but I wouldn’t order it again.Smells like cinnamon and does not look appetizing. It might be delicious to the other dogs, but unfortunately, not for my dog.My American bully isn't incredibly picky but everytime I try Dr. Harvey's he either refuses it or stops eating it after a few meals. I decided to try it again since it was a different formula. Thankfully it is travel size and I have family member with 2 Yorkies that will inhale anything so they finished it up because my dog refused it. Cinnamon scent was prominent. It's easy to prepare and the ingredients sound good but that's useless for me if he won't eat it. Might need to entice.Ingredients:Chicken, Broccoli, Green Beans, Carrots, Pumpkin, Chia Seeds, Whole Egg, Parsley, Ginger, Cinnamon, Red Clover, Beets, Spinach, Tricalcium Phosphate, Blueberries, Coconut, Cranberries, Inulin, Eggshell, Zinc Proteinate, Iron Proteinate, Taurine, Vitamin E Supplement, Copper Proteinate, Nicotinic Acid, Manganese Proteinate, L-Carnitine, Vitamin A Acetate, Selenium Yeast, d-Calcium Pantothenate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Folic Acid, Bacillus licheniformis, Bacillus subtilis, Bromelain, PapainI used Thai product as a topper for my pups’ dry food and one of them really loved it and the other didn’t care for it!
