This tenderizer works well. I can't imagine the others that cost more (sometimes much more) thank this one are any better.If you twist the top it will lock so you don't get stabbed by mistake. I've had a lot of trouble turning it. Be aware: Do not soak this in your dishwater in the sink, it will fill with water and takes a long time to empty. Do not put it in the dishwasher for the same reason. Just rinse the pins under hot water to clean them.
